Why This Project Exists
Born into a Dadhich Brahmin family and trained in music from childhood, my connection with sound began early — first with Tabla and later exploring various instruments. But the deepest pull was always toward Rajasthani folk music.
Growing up in Mumbai without internet, finding authentic folk became a journey in itself. I searched for cassettes during visits to Rajasthan, often returning with commercial music that didn’t capture the soul of desert traditions. Understanding the lyrics — their dialects, metaphors, and hidden emotions — became a lifelong quest.
This platform is created to fill that gap: a place where seekers can find clarity without spending decades searching like I did.
There are many ideas I hope to bring to life. If this lifetime allows, I will give my best to expand this archive — guided by passion, community support, and God’s will.
