Sangat badaan ki keejiye / संगत बडां की कीजियै

संगत बडां की कीजियै, बढत-बढत बढ जाय।
बकरी हाथी पर चढी, चुग-चुग कूपळ खाय।।
बड़े और श्रेष्ठ लोगों की संगति करनी चाहिए।
क्योंकि उनकी संगति में रहने से मनुष्य भी बड़ा-बड़ा होता जाता है।

Sangat badaan ki keejiye, baḍhat-baḍhat baḍ jaay.
Bakri haathi par chhaḍi, chug-chug koopal khaay.

Keep the company of great people; by staying with the great, one also grows greater.
Even a goat, when it climbs onto an elephant, can easily nibble fresh leaves.
